International day of the girl child held in kaduna polytechnic in chemical engineering department on the 11 of october 2022, the program was hosted by the women leader of mass communication in person of rukayya k. Mal Sanusi Rufai Buhari from the department who was present talked about the importance of the event, he stated the discrimination the the girl child encounter e.g violence, abuse etc and how to make the girl child strong.

Shading more light, Mal.Sanusi Rufai define the girl child as someone who is below the age of 18 and should be mentored,love and cared for. Also, he talked about child right declaration of 1959 that the right of a child to be educated.mentored and right to survived.

Furthermore, he said any law in Nigeria that makes a child a slave or maid violated the child right declaration of 1959 and therefore a jailed term of five years should be imposed on such person.
